The True Fire Pit

August 7th, 2008 by Administrator

Hoe do you want to heat your stone fire pit? You will have two options gas or wood. Gas is very convenient and requires less time and effort than a wood fire pit. If you choose natural gas you will have to check with your local gas company and have them come out to your house and run a gas line directly to the fire pit location. You can also use propane to heat your fire pit which will require the same steps for setup as gas. With propane the company will deliver a propane tank to your house. The propane tank can be quiet an eye sore so most people tend to steer away from using propane.

The most popular choice of fuel to heat a fire pit is wood. Yes, it requires more work but most people want to stick with the traditional style fire pit. You don’t have to worry about cutting and chopping your own wood unless you just want to. There are many people that cut and chop wood and sell it to the public usually by the truck load. They will either deliver it to your house or you can pick it up, it’s all your choice. Wood tends to be more difficult to get lit. It is a bit of a challenge but you can search on the internet on how to properly and safely start a wood fire.
