Christmas Gift Exchange Game How-To

November 10th, 2008 by Administrator

Everyone’s played this game at one time or another, but it goes by many names. It’s called Christmas Grinch, Yankee Swap, White Elephant, Dirty Santa… and many more. But no matter what you call it, it’s definitely the most popular of all the Christmas party games because it’s great for anonymous gift exchanges at office parties or at school. Here are the unnofficial “official” rules for playing this game that goes by so many names.
  • Everyone playing the game brings a wrapped gift so that all of the gifts are anonymous and you don’t know what’s inside. Place gifts together in one spot.
  • The host writes numbers on pieces of paper for every gift and places them in a basket, hat or bowl.
  • Each person draws a number.
  • The person with #1 picks a gift to open from the batch.
  • The person with #2 can choose to open another package or steal the gift #1.
  • If a gift is stolen, the person who had it then steals from someone else or picks another gift to open.
  • The game continues like this until everyone takes a turn opening or stealing a gift.
  • The last person to go can steal from anyone in the game or open the remaining gift.
  • Once a gift is stolen three times, it is retired from the game.

Ways to Win Big in Poker

November 10th, 2008 by Administrator

Winning at poker almost never happens as a direct result of one action; it’s usually a culmination of a series of good fundamentals. Let’s take a look at some of those fundamentals. -Raise, don’t call. If it’s worth calling, it’s worth raising. If you’ve got a winner, raise and put everyone else on the defensive. It’ll put more money in the pot and throw everyone else off their game. -Give up the little pots. If the pot is small, and there’s a chance you won’t win, just get out of the hand. It’s not worth the risk for small pots-if you wait for the big pots, you’ll have the chips to throw at the big pots. -Eat the weak. Look for the newbie, the tight player, and any other poker player with habits. If you’ve noticed that someone has a pattern that you can exploit, then it’s your duty as a poker player to apprehend their chips as soon as possible. -Everything in moderation. As with everything, moderation will keep you alive in poker. Find the line between overly aggressive and overly cautious and you’ll be tough to read and even tougher to beat. -Fold big hands when they’re beat. This goes back to the “Don’t marry your cards” theory. I know you waited forever for those pocket Aces, but when there are two Tens and a Five on the flop and the other guys are raising and re-raising, it’s time to let them go.

Fantastic computers to be won at Dutch Windeprijsvraag.nl this year

October 4th, 2008 by Administrator

8 hours ago also a Belgium online company has started with a fun website and is also legally indifferently. Entering online sweepstakes by mail is declining in online popularity at this moment. Promotions advertised as online contests, so far, can call for an entry fee or manifest of purchase. Really everybody can win realy terrific prizes now every 10 days even if you live in Oak Lawn Illinois or in Montgomery Alabama, isn’t that marvelous. That’s why there are super plasmas to win at online game contest and easy sweepstakes this quarter. Sweepstakes are also legally differently from the funny online contests in Garden Grove California. Internet sweepstakes and online promotions are banned from demanding a buy to enter.

Online game contests are treated much more different than the people who win who are not chosen by risk but by an fine element of easy skill. Cyber sweepstakes are broadly speaking much softer and much more quicker to enter than fun websites. It should be terrific to win BMWs worth 4648 euro and that simple. Lots of more contest websites are choosing to enter online internet sweepstakes.

Real World Poker Tells

August 22nd, 2008 by Administrator

One advantage of playing poker around a table instead of online is that you get to observe what is going on with your opponents. Are they suddenly nervous? Does a meek and slumped-over bettor suddenly sit up straight? These little changes in a player’s demeanor are known as “tells.” Watch for them long enough and you might be able to detect when someone is trying to hide a great hand or, alternatively, bluff their way through a miserable flop. As any romantic knows, the eyes are often the biggest betrayer of one’s true feelings. Well, as love goes, so goes Texas Holdem. When you see professional poker players wearing sunglasses during a championship game, it is not just to look menacing. They are hiding their eyeballs in case they cannot help but to react when picking up an inside straight or drawing pocket aces. So, if you can’t see the whites of their eyes, look for other telltale signs like an increase in perspiration, nervous energy, or humming. Busy fingers and hands can also be a tell. If someone suddenly begins stacking and restacking their chips, or if they pick up and examine their pocket cards every ten seconds, you can bet that something is up.

Sony PS3 To Have Only One SKU

March 21st, 2008 by Administrator

Rumors have been running rampant as it was reported on Gamerandy.com that word has come out from an EBGames and GameStop employee that the PS3 would feature two skus, much like the Xbox 360 launch.

The article goes on to state that there will be a $399 version which will just play games, and a $599 version which will play Blu-Ray movies. Digging further into the article, this site says that you will be able to play Blu-Ray games, but not movies on the $399 version.

When you look at the big picture, this seems, to put it simply, nuts. First of all, if Sony were to do two skus on the PS3, one that played Blu-Ray movies and one that did not, the regular cheaper version would likley outsell since the only downgrade would be that you wouldn’t be able to play Blu-Ray movies, of which you will likely own none!

Also another thing which makes this article completely false is that it states that you will be able to play Blu-Ray games on the cheaper version, but not movies. This is a ludicrous statement since if the system was able to play Blu-Ray games, the technology and laser to play the movies, the hardware aspect, would still have to be placed into the system at a cost. The software is not what makes the Blu-Ray player expensive, it is the hardware, the laser which reads the discs and such.

Further dispelling this rumor, an inside source of PS3News.Ca at GameStop stated that he knew of nothing pertaining to this rumor, and stated that if something was concrete, he would know about it. We’ll have more as the story breaks, but as of right now, it seems like this rumor is just simply put, not true.
